Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood

Our rating 7.8

Systems: PC, PS3, and Xbox 360
Our Review:
Yee Haw! Welcome to the wild west! In this action packed game, there’s three men, and one goal: the treasure of Juarez. In this game you can choose to embody one of two brothers, Ray, or Thomas; each with their own special abilities and traits Rays being strength and close combat while Thomas’s being swift and long range combat. The game hit PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The story starts around the end of the civil war when the south are about to surrender. Ray and Tom are both fighting for the south when their commanding officer tells them to retreat to Arkansas. Ray and Tom’s family will probably get killed by the union if they retreat, so Ray and Tom refuse and desert the army. They get to their house and find their mother dead and their brother who is a priest, standing helplessly. Now that Ray and Tom are refugees, they need to go to another place, Mexico. Their house was burnt and destroyed and the only way to fix it is to find the treasure of Juarez and rebuild the house. Overall the plot is amazing and easy to understand.

The multiplayer is pretty fun too. You have 6 different multiplayer modes each with their own objectives. You can upgrade your class during a match by killing to get money. Although, when you start a new round, you start off at the beginning of the class again. We definitely would’ve liked to see more of a ranking system with class creations similar to the ones of Call of Duty. Overall the multiplayer is fun at first but can get easily boring, so don’t expect to love the multiplayer.

The graphics are amazing but there are small things that don’t look realistic at all like the smoke, fire, and sand on the last level. These small things just ruin the realistic feel for players and more time should’ve been put in.
