Our Review:
Aye, Aye Captain!
This is Empire: Total War! Take command of your empire through
the 1700’s in a massive campaign! The timeline takes place from
1700-1800 with 2 turns a year.
The campaign is better then we have ever seen in a total war game! With all together 3 continents to play on, your time will be well spent and your Empire hugely spread. The three continents you can play on are: The Americas, India, and of course, Europe. You can now manage new towns, schools, and ports. Enemies will raid these towns forcing you to rebuild which will get annoying and cost some good amounts of money! Though, for the campaign you can only use the powerful European nations (and a Powerful Indian nation), which consist of: Great Britain, Austria, Prussia, United Provinces, Maratha Confederacy, Russia, Spain, France, and The Ottoman Empire. Each with there own abilities and special units. The Lead designer told us that they couldn’t involve every faction because it would just take up way to much of the computer! There was recently an Expansion called the Warpath Campaign, which included 5 new Indian factions to be played not only online, but in the campaign as well. The game is very graphically challenged so to run this you’ll need a decent gaming computer. Also, another thing we didn’t like was the AI. It was said to have been the worst in the whole total war series, and we agree with that!
The online is just like Rome and Medieval total war which was fun and easy to join a match! Though if one person lags, then the WHOLE game will lag no matter how good your connection is! Now that was something that annoyed us while playing! SO PLEASE DON’T OVER CLOCK THE GRAPHICS CARDS!!!
The game was released with many bugs that often crashed the game down on players. Though many patches have been released by then, and tons of bugs have been fixed, they should’ve finished the job before releasing the game!

Tips for crashing |
We had allot of trouble with
this game it just had to many
bugs, so I tried to find a
solution for the crashing
nothing worked except upgrading
to Windows 7. This new
operating system made every
thing on my computer run better
and faster. If you are wondering
about compatibility don't worry,
the compatibility is very
similar to that of Windows XP. I
tested Windows 7 with old
programs from 2000 and 2003 I
could not find any thing that
would not work with it. The same
test with Windows Vista did not
go to well they crashed all the
time but with 7 nothing did. I
recommend this OS for any one
who just wants a better speed
with there PC. I truly think
this is the best OS ever made.
