Do you wish to make great quality videos for YouTube, school project, or just for the hell of it? Well if you do, then Cyberlink PowerDirector 9 is the program for you! This program is ideal for amateur video producers, even some professionals! The effects here are endless and amazing, but we’ll get into that later on. Design:
Alright let’s take a whack at the design. The thing looks beautiful. It’s full of colors and glossy buttons that light up when you click them. The navigation of the program is simple and easy to use. The way this is set is a major accomplishment. The layout is divided into 3 categories, Capture, Edit, and Produce. I’m pretty sure you can tell what each one does. Though there are some features in the program that seem hidden and you’ll have to find with practice. Overall the layout is eye appealing, and relatively simple to use, with some setbacks of course. This one gets a great score of 9.

Compatibility:
Now let’s move on to something very, very important. Compatibility. There are many programs out there that have compatibility issues it can be a huge pain finding this out right after you buy the program, which is why we’ll give you the inside look at Cyberlink. Now my PC runs on a Windows 7 32 bit system. The program runs perfectly for me and my partner running on the same system. We’ve tested this program out on 7, Vista, and XP. They all work very well with it, but of course 7 takes the lead in better cooperation.  You will need a decent processor as the program is very sophisticated and the graphical design put into the program will strain out an outdated processor. Now another great thing about this program is it also offers a 64 bit version, which works better if you have a 64 bit OS. Overall there are no or very little issues with compatibility, there for Cyberlink strikes a 10 for us.

Features:
Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for; what the heck’s in the thing! Cyberlink has many options similar to Camtasia Studio 7, but it has more to offer, after all, it is $100 USD more right? The transitions are a bit unusual, they range from flying planes to paper planes; but they vary in many and beat Camtasia in amount. Now Cyberlink can capture audio and narraration, but Camtasia’s recorder has always been better. Cyberlink also can’t record the screen, which is something a higher end program should do. Cyberlink does take advantage of those wonderful NVIDIA graphics cards that have Cuda acceleration capabilities for certain effects so we recommend having an NVIDIA GPU. Now you can customize titles on every clip, you can preview the movie by clip or the whole thing; it gets very sophisticated like I said earlier. The text in Cyblerink is movable and looks a lot better than Camtasia’s. Also, Cyberlink’s text transitions are beyond what I’ve ever seen; and I like it. Now let’s get down with the producing. Cyblerlink has amazing producing quality that can render in 1080p HD, widescreen, MPEG2, Dolby Digital, the works. There are tons of production options for what resolution your movie is made for. Plus, you can preview the movie without lag right before you render it, which is a great feature. Overall Cyberlink’s features are in many, but still could use improvement on things like transitions, screen recording and narrarating, etc. Cyberlink manages to talk this one all the way to an 8.5.
