Our Review:
Can this place really be DC? In
Fallout 3, you play as an escaper from Vault 101 after a nuclear
war on American soil. You escape into the state of Washington
DC. The visuals and size of the map are amazing. With over 100
hours of game play, this is a great game for RPG or even FPS
fans. The game hits Xbox 360, PC, and PS3.
The game takes place in the future in a post apocalyptic DC. You escape the vault 101 which nobody ever leaves, and goes on the search for your dad. The story plot is simple but leaves no plot holes. You can take up tons of optional quests for others around DC. There is a Karma system in Fallout. You can play as a good campaign, which means people will be nice to you and give you gifts. Or choose to play as the bad karma. This will result in insults from strangers and you’ll have to get your stuff from stealing. Certain karma can get certain followers in your party. Over all, you can only have 1 humanoid (non animal) character and one animal character (Dog meat) in your party. You can choose to switch between third, or first person angles. Third person should have had more put into it as it sucks. You can kill any walking thing in the game except for some essential characters that can only be knocked out. The campaign will take forever to complete but is time well spent. Overall, the campaign is great and lengthy in a good way, but Fallout 2 was still a little better. Graphics wise this game is decent. Not bad graphics but not great either. Still, it is very enjoyable. The glitches can wear down happiness while playing and can be frustrating. There is no multiplayer at all in this game it is a strictly single player game.
There are a load of amazing DLC’s for the game that includes many more parts to the game and more countless hours of fun. Overall, the game is an essential for RPG and FPS fans. Its fun, lengthy, has a great campaign, and is just great.
