Hello fellow gamers,
today we’ll be going over one of the earliest types of the
200 series, the NVIDIA GeForce 240 GT. If you’re looking for
great graphics and have a cheap budget, then this card might
be for you! The card comes in prices from $85.00 to $90.00.
The card’s relative graphics performance runs at 17x which
is way better than decent. Though you might want to just buy
the 9800 GT because its only $95.00 to $100.00 and the
performance is better than the 240 running in at 19x
performance! The relative compute performance on the 240
runs at 9x which is pretty much decent. The number of cores
it has is 96 which is a little better than the average card.
Though the game did prove worthy when we tested Dragon Age:
Origins on all high settings we didn’t experience lag, also,
we tested Napoleon: Total War at all high settings on a
massive historical battle with no lag! This card will
definitely allow you to play top of the line games at all
high settings with little or no lag. This card is great for
low budget gamers, but personally I would suggest the 9800GT
or 9800GTS, this one is more for gaming purposes, and is
only a couple bucks more. |
